Griffith Spring Festival

DAY 1 – Friday 14^th October          Griffith-Spring Festival       (D)

Welcome aboard for an exciting tour of the Griffith ‘SPRING FESTIVAL’.   Today we travel north into NSW to Jerilderie for morning tea then on through Darlington Point on the Murrumbidgee River to the delightful garden city of Griffith.    After lunch we enjoy an informative visit to the Information Centre, where we can wander through the interpretive display area.  An introductory town tour gives us the chance to admire the imaginative and colourful Citrus sculptures along Banna Avenue.  This afternoon we visit a magnificent open garden, with its own unique character.   We return to the Motel for Dinner and settle in for our two nights Stay at The Kidman Wayside Inn, Griffith.

DAY 2 – Saturday 16^th    "SPRING FESTIVAL”          (BD)

After a hearty breakfast we explore some more of the spectacular gardens that are involved in the Griffith Festival of Gardens. We visit Riverina Grove, the very best Australian grown and manufactured gourmet products. Indulge yourself with our scrumptious selection of sauces, condiments and olives, made with love in the Riverina. After stopping for lunch we visit another garden. This afternoon we visit the Pioneer Park and Italian Museum then off to explore another garden before returning to our motel to freshen up before dinner.

DAY 3 – Sunday 17^th         Garden Visits – Home  (B)

Time for breakfast before embarking on the last day of our journey. The Mediterranean climate combined with the abundance of water from the Murrumbidgee Irrigation Scheme provides optimum conditions for the spring awakening and the Griffith Spring Festival. We visit the Catania Fruit Salad Farm for a tour and morning tea. Every year some Ten Gardens are open for inspection ranging from small cottage gardens to magnificent homestead gardens along with a host of special displays and attractions. We visit another garden this afternoon before making our way home after enjoying the magnificent Griffith Spring Festival.
